The Altan Urag is a Mongolian band with the objective of embracing and promoting Mongolian  music. Founded in May 2002 along with the members Erka, Chimdee, Gangaa, Oyunaa, Tungaa, Burnee and Erdenetsetseg, Altan Urag aims to meld folk songwriting style with rock backbeat and combine Rock Music with traditional Mongolian music instruments such as morin khuur (horse head fiddle), bishguur (pipe), yochin (dulcimer), ikh khuur (great bass fiddle), guttural throat singing and rock drum beats.

Ethno-jazz band

Arga Bileg is Mongolian ethno-jazz band formed in 2009. The band consists of O.Munkhtogtokh (zither), T.Purevsukh (piano), N.Jigjiddorj (horsehead fiddle), Kh.Batzaya (horsehead fiddle) and G.Gantulga (percussion).They have performed the United Nations General Assembly Hall in New York, the UNESCO World Heritage Center, the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow, and the National Centre for the Performing Arts in Beijing and also the Swiss, Germany, Russia, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and Vietnam.

Erdenetsetseg Khenmedekh
Urtyn Duu (Long-song) Singer

Ms. Erdenetsetseg Khenmedekh was born in Dund-Gobi Province in Mongolia to a nomad family. As a child, she cherished Mongolian folk songs. In 2004, she won first prize in an Urtyn Duu (Long-song) competition in Ulan-Ude. After winning she debuted as a singer at the State Folk Song and Dance Ensemble. Since then, she has actively performed her music both at home and at overseas, traveling to multiple countries in Eastern Europe, as well as Switzerland, Spain, Russia, South Korea, Taiwan, and China. Ms. Erdenetsetseg has been awarded many honors including Leader Cultural Worker of Mongolia.

Mongolian-born artist

The last 17 months have seen the talented Mongolian-born artist AsUri reach new heights with productions of her powerful remix of exclusive techniques mixed with unique Mongolian ethnic music, garnering acclaim from every corner of the industry, and achieving large streaming. New music from AsUri has been huge in festival sets for many leading talented DJs all summer. Then there was the richly deserved SPIRIT of GOBI Contemporary Arts and Electronic Music Festival and which started in 2020.
